We had a brilliant stay here. We’re a couple but were given an adjoining room (not sure if this is an upgrade per se or just the room they had available) which was great as it meant we had plenty of space. The rooms were very comfortable, warm, and clearly recently redecorated. Our room was next door to the ‘main’ centre of the Waldstein, in a separate courtyard. We liked this, it was almost like our own apartment away from home, which was really nice. We had to go next door for breakfast but we didn’t mind that at all. Breakfast was lovely with a large continental selection of pastries, breads, cheeses, cereals, fruit and some cakes. The hot food selection was lovely, different styles of eggs, and the selection of extras changed everyday: we had beans, bacon and hash browns during our stay. There was plenty of hot coffee, juices and even Prosecco too. All the staff we interacted with were lovely, can’t fault anybody.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Waldstein and would stay again in a heart beat. Myself and my partner were greeted with a complimentary drink (beer and a Prosecco) which we enjoyed in the lobby of the partner hotel next door to the Waldstein. We were then taken to our room, a family suite, which was a bargain at £225 including breakfast. One of the staff members carried our suitcase which was really appreciated. The room was spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The main room consisted of a large double bed, sofa, TV, large wardrobe, safe, mini bar, desk. There is a separate part of the room that consists of two single beds and a TV. Both rooms have their own modern bathrooms. The breakfast was extensive, delicious and set in a 14th century (I think) cellar. The lady that was running breakfast was warm and welcoming, doing a great job of looking after the guests. The hotel is set in a peaceful surrounding, within a 5 minute walk of Malistranská tram station, a 10 minute walk of Prague Castle and 15 minute walk from the old town. It is a fantastic location to explore both sides of the river and suitable to all ages. We ended the trip with another complimentary drink from the bar, provided by the lovely staff that work at the hotel. I would advise anybody considering a trip to Prague to choose Hotel Waldstein. You will not be disappointed!

I would like to share my disappointment with the service at Waldstein Hotel, particularly regarding the front receptionist on 2 Dec 2023. Our request for a simple hot kettle was met with initial reluctance, and the receptionist insisted we fetch hot water from the basement breakfast area, when we are staying in a separate building. The lack of accommodation and politeness from the front desk was disheartening. A more considerate approach to guest requests would greatly improve the overall experience. I hope Waldstein Hotel addresses these issues for the comfort and satisfaction of its guests in the future.

Great hotel in a lovely location just below the castle walls and only a few mins walking from the Old Town. The Rooms are modern whilst maintaining their charm and character from the old 17th century building. The buildings cellar has been converted into the breakfast room which is a great feature. The food was plentiful and of reasonable quality. All-round the hotel is good value for money and one of the best in the area.

Lovely hotel in quiet location just below castle. Very clean and comfy beds. Rooms are big and breakfast was plentiful and lovely too. All the staff are very friendly and helpful too. Special mention to Helena, Luciano and also the transfer taxi from hotel was very good too, sorry dont know his name. I will definitely be back again and to same hotel as we loved everything about it!
